How do I enquire or order?
Please use our contact page or email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I prefer to receive your enquiries in writing rather than via phone calls because I am so forgetful that I can’t even remember where I put my eye glasses when I am already wearing it. LOL So to save you from this dilemma from me, it would be best if I can get back to our conversation by reading back.
Please include in your enquiry first and foremost the DATE then the theme you have in mind and we’ll go from there.
Do you have minimum amount to order?
We have a minimum of £200 to order.
How much are your cakes and cupcakes?
Please visit our Price Guide page to give you an idea about our pricing.
When should I book my order?
I always advise to book at least 3 weeks in advance as I only take very limited amount of orders per week. Wedding cakes though should be booked months earlier, ideally 3 to 6 months prior to your big day. But don’t hesitate to contact me, I may still be able to accomodate your orders on short notice. If, however, you think it’s too early for your event, but you are decided that you want me to make your cake, a booking fee of £100 will keep your dates in my calendar even before you have an idea of what theme or design you want. This is most helpful during the times when my diary fills up quickly. As much as possible, I would like to accommodate all your orders, but I only work on my own so a very limited amount of orders are taken in every week.
Do you offer private consultation?
We offer private consultation by appointment only where you get to try 4 of our standard flavours. This service costs £25. We also do taster boxes by post if you can’t come for a consultation and this costs £30.
Consultations take roughly 1 hour where we will be discussing all about your cake details so it would really be great if you can bring with you something where we can draw inspirations from, like your invitation, photos of flowers you will be using or a lace piece that will accentuate your wedding gown, etc.
We hold tastings and consultations every month so if you want to know our schedule, we advise you subscribe to our newsletter so you don’t miss out. You can also email us directly at email@example.com for more details.
Are your private consultations for wedding orders only?
Certainly NOT! We don’t have separate prices for weddings and celebration cakes hence the equal treatment for all our customers. It is your option if you would want to come over for tastings and consultations or have your taster box sent to you by post and we can discuss your cake requirements via email.
How do I pay for my order?
£100 retainer fee will book the date of your event. 50% should be paid after your private consultation and tasting with me and all details are agreed upon, usually within 5 days after your quotation has been sent through email.
No booking is confirmed until this has been received. Payment of this confirms the binding of the contract when no signed copy is sent back to us.
Final balance should be paid in full 30 days before the wedding day and 2 weeks before the celebration cake is due.
We accept cash or online bank transfer. Invoice will be sent as soon as you’re happy to proceed.
Orders placed less than 2 weeks before due date needs to be paid in full.
Please note, all deposits are non-refundable.
Up to when can I make changes on the cake?
The date of final payment is the final date for any changes in agreed design, style, size or flavours. Any major changes after this date cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges. Last minute changes cannot always be accommodated.
Can my order be delivered/set-up?
Certainly. All orders £200 and above can be delivered. Delivery and setup is strongly suggested for all wedding cakes and for some multiple tiered special occasion cakes. We will deliver and set-up approximately 2 hours prior to the event start time or on whatever agreed time. Delivery and set-up fee will depend on the distance, travel time and complexity in setting-up the cake.
If orders are to be collected, please arrive to pick up your orders on time. We can only give up to 30 minutes waiting time or you will have to arrange a new collection time.
We deliver in and around London and Surrey.
We may also meet half-way if you prefer.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you have to cancel your order, we require this to be in writing and should be done 14 days in advance. Less than 14 days and we will have to charge £100 cancellation fee. At this point we have already prepared 75% of your cake so we can only refund 50% of the remainder balance paid (i.e. 25% of the total order). As you know the 50% deposit is non-refundable. In the event that something occurs beyond your control to effect your scheduled event date – please contact us to discuss options.
What is our refund policy?
In case of an emergency or an error in your cake delivery, please contact us immediately so we can fix the issue right away! If you are unhappy with your cake for any reason, please call us within 24 hours of your event and explain the situation. Without proof that you are indeed unhappy with the product, like portions of the cake to examine, we will be unable to refund any portion of your payment. We are dedicated to satisfying our client’s requirements and we work hard to exceed your expectations.
We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after collection/set-up is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 23 degrees or below.
It is your responsibility to notify the kitchen/venue that will slice and serve the cake to do it at the latest time to avoid the cakes drying out.
If you or your authorized representative collects and sets up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Cheeky MunchCakes’s possession.
Are your cakes/cupcakes nut-free?
I can’t guarantee that cakes/cupcakes are free from traces of nuts as we use nuts in our kitchen so please know that they are not suitable for allergy sufferers.

How long does your cakes/cupcakes keep for?
It is always recommended that they be eaten as soon as possible. But if you want to save for later, keep cakes and cupcakes in their boxes. Cupcakes can keep for up to a day or 2 and most cakes may keep for up to 3 days.
Fillings that contain cream need to be stored in fridge, take out to room temperature before serving. Make sure though not to touch any sugarpaste decorations after taking them out of the fridge. Let it air dry.
Can you use fresh flowers on my cake?
In the case of fresh flower usage on the cake, you acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants and Cheeky MunchCakes cannot be held responsible for the flower safety and safe food practices.
Can you provide the candles or toy toppers?
Candles that match the colour of your cake are already included in your order. However, these are just simple coloured candles, so if you want more fancy ones you may supply it (same with the toy toppers) and give to me in advance or I can source it out for you for an additional cost and I can set it up on the cake all set when delivered or in a pack when collected for easy transport.
Can you add dummy cakes to my real cake orders?
We do offer a cake with part-dummy and part-cake tiers should you wish to achieve a certain height without having as much cake to serve. If you happen to be considering this idea, please mention it when you enquire.
Should you have any more questions not answered here, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
